I can't settle on what is the most impressive part of PCA's season.  Actually yes I can, it's his .390 (!) OBP, 6th in baseball.  Dude had a .285 career OBP in just over 1000 PAs coming into the season.  Now it's over 100 points higher!  Just a stunning transformation.

The walk rate explains half of the improvement and the babip (normalizing?) explains the rest, damn. Seems so low with his speed, but I guess he doesn't hit much on the ground

You really dont. And when you lop April off the walk rate is simply absurd. Like he just tripled it overnight.

It's crazy.   I wonder how many players have made such large improvements in walks/chase, especially overnight.

Heard Taylor say in a broadcast that it clicked for PCA when Bregman told him during his earlier struggles that he should only swing at pitches in his wheelhouse and then can expand that zone with 2 strikes.

Definitely related to the chase improvements.  Chasing those LHP breaking balls were killing him.

He definitely deserves praise for the improvements.  You can tell he's relentless and doesn't put any limitations on himself.  I'm sure he could do anything on the diamond he set his mind to.

it's become basically a daily routine for me to look at since-4/22 leaderboards and marvel at the cavernous gap between 1 &2.. what do you mean he's been worth more than Bobby Witt Jr. + Juan Soto
