The prior two games in the series were bad. But I won't get mad at the team for this one. They tried and just couldn't get the bounce when they needed it.

Yeah, at first it was pathetic but you cant blame the team for the loss though. Too bad we made some costly errors and the pen couldnt keep it even at the end.

I agree. I want to blame somebody, and it is tempting to blame Walker, but the Cubs were smoking balls all over the park, and the pitching was adequate. It was just a combination of Brad Wilkerson and bad luck, IMO.

The first two games of the series, on the other hand.......

well off to Atlanta with their crappy Bullpen, and motherload of rookies. I heard that Smotlz has a little injury in one of his hamstring, he says he won't miss the start but hopefully he will be off his game.

plus a sweep of them would move us past them in the WC standings

Nevertheless, its disappointing to watch the Cubs shoot themselves in the foot and lose to a team that they could have swept with some solid play.

Really? Was some other team out there wearing Cub uniforms?

The fact is they came back to tie the game but ended up losing by other forms. This wasnt a team loss, but more a loss thanks to Walker. We came back twice to tie the game, at that point that's all you can ask. Regardless though. We are still a pathetic team if you ask me, and Dusty is the problem.
