It's a fine depth signing. Ideally he never sees Wrigley but we needed infielders in Iowa and he can play several positions.

Personally I've been a fan for awhile. I saw him play in Lehigh Valley. And I was at Phillies ST in 2018 ahead of his MLB debut and he was walking down the foul line during warmups and I asked if he could sign my hat and he came over right away and was super friendly and chatty and of course that stuck with me. And another fan came over and immediately asked Kingery if he was excited to play with Arrieta (who had reportedly signed with the Phillies that morning I think) and Kingery was unaware of the news and got super giddy like a kid. Always seemed like a good dude but the contract he got did not go over well and he was a bust.
