Hey the first preseason game started. No Caleb Williams, but opening drive with Bagent was a 3 and out with a sack and a short completion to Loveland.

Nothing means anything, and I'm just hoping nobody gets injured.

Early goal line stand against Miamis #1 offense early on, though they gave up chunks of yards each play until they got inside the 5.

Rookie LB Hippolite with a couple solid plays in the 1st.

Josh Blackwell whiffed on a couple tackles early, getting abused a bit by Miamis offense early on.

First impressions

Monongai is not fast, runs a bit upright, but has pretty good vision.

Luther Burden is significantly better than his competition today.

I'm kind of surprised to see Bagent's arm doesn't really seem to have made any gains. If he could just get his arm to average he'd probably have a decade+ long career.

Terrell Smith makes the one good play by the secondary in the first half. Unfortunately, he can't catch or it would have been tied.

Honestly, the offense getting a FG at the half after the Dolphins had a first down at the Bears 40 with 20 seconds left is the most impressive thing that has happened this game.

as opposed to just surrendering a ~12 yard out on the second to last play of the game to the commanders so they could get a hail mary to the end zone on the next play...

TD catch was a big league play.  Agree though.  Kind of blah.  Not liking the defense so far.  Better pressure as the half wore on.

Outside of the TD run, I think the DLine has been pretty good. The secondary has sucked hard.

No starters in, preseason, it all means nothing but Loveland looks smaller and slower than I thought he would. Sewells ff was good

I felt the same about Loveland but it was only a few plays .

Defense looks better so far in the 2nd half, but the Miami offense is a step lower.

Quinn Ewers with a bit of a rough start, 0-4 with a lost sack fumble.
