I know your point. I am just saying I don’t want Wilson from the Red Sox. TBH I don’t want Chapman either, but mainly because I don’t think he is a closer I would want. I am more concerned about that than I am his actions over a decade ago. If the Cubs go after a relief pitcher he needs to be a sure 9th inning guy. Chapman isn’t that.

You didn’t enjoy Russell’s game 6 grandslam and game 7 rbi double? The team might not have even played a game 6 without Chapmans 3 inning save. You do you but we might be on year 117 without those shady characters.

With the cubs slashing $40 million off the payroll, Happ Suzuki and Jamo off the books in a couple years with the hope that Cassie and perhaps Alcantara are viable contingency plans, in addition to reports that Tom vetoed deferred money to Bregman, you’d have to hope they’re stashing it into a Tucker piggy bank.

I’m semi optimistic that they outbid everyone for Tucker not only because of the fan pushback but the optics of trading smith and Peredes for a rental while sitting at 13th in payroll only makes sense if there’s a future goal in mind, at least in my opinion.

It was absolutely way less enjoyable to watch Russell's highlights after we found out he was a piece of shit human being than it was before we found out.
