Question of the week: Is PCA on his way to a 40/40 season?

Let's assume he stays healthy so take that out of the equation. PCA is currently at 16 home runs with 21 steals. Is he going to keep up this pace and reach 40/40 in 2025?

If healthy, the 40 steals is a foregone conclusion. The homer mark is a steeper hill to climb

FWIW right now he's on pace to finish at 42 HR and 55 SB.  There may be a drop off in power, we'll see.  But every time I think he will start regressing he hits another bomb.  Either way, he's ahead of the pace in both right now.

I created this poll a couple of weeks ago and he's still on pace to do it.

I'd be pleased with 30/40. I think he may get to 30/60.

In theory you expect a drop off in power. With that said pitchers keep making adjustments and he’s not exactly slowing down. With his launch angle too I think it’ll be a matter of fatigue if he hits under 35 or so.

Pitchers are making adjustments as we’ve seen more off speed stuff way off the plate and he made adjustments by laying off those pitches.

The stolen base part is much easier. When he gets on there is more than likely a SB happening. 
 

Is the power sustainable in 2025? I’m not sure.

Are we seeing the greatest season he will have, or is he a 130+ bat regularly? He's gonna accrue HOF WAR if he can stay healthy of that's the case.

I think this is about right.  He isn't likely going to sustain the power to approach 40 HR's, but 30+ and 50+  would be a great season.
