It does not have to be an impact guy, but one thing the team needs for next year is a better lefty masher than Wisdom.  Because Wisdom’s splits are more high/low than left/right, he's miscast in the role he has on this team.  And while I do think he's a quality major leaguer, it makes a lot more sense to swap him out rather than shuffle the guys around him to make his role fit better.

All that being said, he should eat against Kyle Freeland tonight.

If the baseball broadcasting thing doesn’t work out for Sutcliffe, his next gig can be as one of those people at hospitals who delivers bad news. Dude oozers optimism.

Sadly, of the three musketeers, Sutcliffe, Girardi, Dempster, I'd tolerate Dempster more so than the other 2. The better of multiple bad choices. I guess I picked my poison.

What are they seeing in Swanson as the #2 hitter?

I think Counsell just has his 2 orders set for facing RH and LH with his regulars and just rolling with it the rest of way.

The thing JD has learned that neither Sutcliffe nor Girardi have is that the color commentator doesn't have to fill every second of silence between Boog's calls

The best thing about putting the radio feed on is that even when Sutcliffe is shown on the screen, I still can’t hear him.

Fun fact:  the Rockies have hit 5 balls today that would have been home runs at Wrigley Field but not at Coors compared to 0 for the Cubs

Baseballsavant. I had to do the work myself by going through the game feed and seeing the balls that would be HRs in some parks.
