Let's  go!

Also want to see Wiggins start having some success in South Bend. If he can get it going he could begin next year in AA.

Alcántara with a solo home run and a bases loaded walk so far tonight. Obviously it’s still early but he has an OPS of 1.194 at AAA.

Ballesteros is 1/1 with a double and 2 walks.

Alcantara hitting the ground running at Iowa is so big.  Next year being his last option year sucks regardless, but if he has a good six weeks to close out the season you feel a lot better about him being able to be up for good by the end of next year.

I stand by my opinion that anyone moving Alcantara down the lists after this season is ignoring 99% of the good to focus on 7 games of awful.

.301/.367/..455 line since then while also putting up a very acceptable 9.0BB% and 23.5K%

SP Miguel Cruz fired three innings of no run / no hit ball with five strikeouts and Adan Sanchez drilled two RBI singles (including a game-tying RBI single with one out in the top of the 9th) for the Cubs

Escobar went 2/4 with a double, Southisene went 2/2, Lovich went 1/5 with a strikeout and HBP and Valdez went 2/5.

I kind of hate it, but I would not be the least bit surprised if he’s part of a trade this winter. If they do, let’s hope it works out better than Cease.

Not to mention hes done this every year or at every new level. He always starts off god awful and then proceeds to adjust and go on a tear. I really agree with Keith Laws assessment of him.
