Jokic had the 1st 30/20/20 game in history. It probably won't be his last.

he should be going for his 5th straight MVP but he probably will get robbed again

Jokic with 61-11-10 tonight in double OT.

Steph went for 52 including 12-20 on 3. He was 8-10 from 3 in the first half and it's a game like that where you wish he was more of a gunner to see how many he could hit in a game. He could have broken Klay's mark of 14 in a game if he really wanted to.

What a disastrous move. You juat don't do that to your players.

The only way they make this move is if the players explicitly want it

Sounds like Malone and Booth didn’t like each other and the owner wanted to clean house. Don’t know why you wouldn’t just fire the GM now, let Malone coach the playoffs and go from there.

What the hell is going on in Denver? They canned the GM too.

A post Malone Nuggets feel like a team prime for an early bounce from the playoffs despite the presence of Joker.

no reason to think anyone in the west takes more than a game off of okc at this point - what a team

I know I do not follow the NBA that intensely these days but I can not name one player other than Alex Caruso, that plays for OKC.

There’s always the chance for a couple 3 point variance games but yeah, I’d be shocked if they’re challenged at all in the West. And for that matter I’d be shocked if Cleveland and Boston don’t meet in the East finals as well.

I don't know they are.

This is a great example of the NBA struggling to market its product if you're a Bulls fan enough to know that Caruso is on OKC but have never heard of a guy who finished 2nd in MVP voting last year and is likely going to win the MVP this year.

I don't advocate for my team very often, but if the Pacers can get past the Bucks (which will still be a hard series), I think they are going to give Cleveland a fight.

They probably only win 20-25 percent of the time, but I don't think that will be a walkover series. The Pacers tend to play better against better opponents, and their starting lineup when they all play together has been really good both last year and this year.

Part of this is I definitely see it as OKC, small step down Boston, a little bigger step down Cleveland, then an even bigger step to anybody else.

The problem is there is literally nothing exciting in their product to market. Guys of every shape and size are hurling the ball from beyond the arc and missing most of the time. How many guys average 50% from beyond the arc? Teams average about 35 to 40 attempts a game and not a single team averages better than 39% from 3 point land. The Celtics averaged one 3 point attempt every single minute of a game for an entire season. It's boring.

With that said, I still watch the Bulls. And I do know who SGA and Chet are. But if it weren't for free CHSN, I may not even know that. Well, I did play a free NBA fantasy league, too.

And they used to hoist a bunch of shots from 17-21 feet, and they didn't shoot very well from those either.  The main difference is because they moved back 5 feet, we track those shots in the box score now.

Here's the FG% of an average team over the last 7 decades:

24-25:  .467

14-15:  .449

04-05:  .447

94-95:  .466

84-85:  .491

74-75:  .457

64-65:  .426

7' centers are shooting 3's at a ridiculous rate in comparison to the good ole days when they shot sky hooks, power slams and battled boards for offensive rebound put backs and such. I get Doncic or Jokic firing it up, but between Vucevic and his 321 attempts, Jalen Smith and his 222, Zach Collins and his 60 and Buzelis and his 266 all just this year, you have more than a 10 3PA a game from guys on the Bulls that are either a Center or more than 6'9" tall. I've seen way too many random other guys that are Centers firing it up like they are George Gervin out there. Meanwhile, when these guys are firing it up there, there is either no one under the hoop for a rebound or the guy is a G or SF who is easily outmatched for a rebound, and given the poor shooting percentages of these guys, there are MANY rebound opportunities.

Casual sports fans aren't going to sign up for regular showings of this type of sports. It's just boring. Even if they were all good at making 3's from long distance, it's still going to be boring. Steve Kerr's highest 3 point attempts in his career was 237 and he was basically on the team for only that reason. Jordan's highest was 297 and he only crossed 200 four times in his career.

I'm only picking on the Bulls because that's who I know. Outside of watching them and whoever they are playing, I just don't care about NBA anymore. Loved the '70's and '80's and '90's. It's just not that anymore, though.
