My hatred of the Adam Silver's era of the NBA is growing exponentially.

This constant need of the league to help the Lakers is annoying AF.

Just learned that Doncic is no longer eligible for a super max extension. This trade definitely feels like a big eff you from Dallas' owners to Doncic.

He’s been hurt and supposedly fat, but you still don’t trade Doncic and only get a 31 year old AD back

If you know you were trading Luka why not start a bidding war? 

Trading him to the Lakers in the middle of the night, really stinks.

The only way this makes sense is if Luka said he was gone after his contract runs out after next season right? You can’t let Luka go for nothing and maybe the Mavs wanted to prioritize still being good rather than getting a haul of picks and AD was the best guy on the table.

There’s no way Davis could have been the best guy on the table or Doncic was dangled for every team. Doncic could be traded for literally the best player in the league. The Mavs did this in secret before the fan base heard rumors and got mad.

the mavs GM has a relationship with AD and loves him. They've already said they didn't shop him around outside of one team a few weeks ago (likely the bucks and giannis imo.) The only logical conclusion is they didn't like luka as a person, were sick of his conditioning etc, and just decided to get a guy the current GM likes. There's no way you can say AD was the best guy on the table when 27 teams didnt even get to bid

I hadn’t heard the part about no other teams knowing about it. This is just baffling. I mean, the fans are likely to be angry over a Luka trade whether they heard rumors he was being shopped or not. What’s the harm in checking around with teams. Like the Lakers arent going to say in 48 hours “you know, we really like Luka but since you offered him to other teams, we’re out”. There’s no downside to asking around.
