This fing team wide slump is so freaking annoying.  Just looking for any sign of life.  We're not even getting like the one random feel good outlier offensive game right now.

No cause even when they do score, it seems like it because of walks, Wild pitches, and errors contribute to them.

Busch is not good...

And yet somehow hes just one of 5 Cubs to have a wRC+ of over 100 in the month of may (Wisdom, Nico, Bellinger, and Morel being the other 4)

The Ricketts need to shell out and send the starters on a much needed holiday to one of the Greek islands or Japan at the end of the year and the hitters and bullpen to, I don’t know… St Louis.

Sorry budget only allows them to send the starters to Greek Isles on Halstead.

Which means nothing...

Guy has 17 hits in his last 100 ABs, he has been terrible.

Broken down into .133/.177/.167/.343 between April 21 and April 30 followed by .200/.323/.364/.687 in May.  Neither are good but one is unplayable, the other is bad but sadly one of the better hitters on this Cubs team in recent weeks which was my point.

He like 6 for 40 in last 15 games including today with with 20 Ks, I don't know what you're seeing..

If that one of the better hitter on team, just shows how bad the team has been but doesn't make him good, he's still been terrible.

If they had anyone in Iowa that was capable of hitting and play first at mlb level,  he'd be sent down.

That was exactly my original point yeesh lol.  I never said he was hitting well right now, though 102 wRC+ is basically average.

I said he wasn't good, you replied about him being above 100 WRC, so I took that as you saying he was doing good.

Lol

Michael Busch has a 34.9 k rate at the moment . That’s not going to work , especially with his defense at 1B. If this continues o wonder if the Cubs will target Christian Walker next offseason .

100 wRC+ is average.  I don't create the statistics, but wRC+ is a pretty good measure of how effective a hitter has been.  Of course there are other statistics out there that do not make him look anything close to average so he's probably bad....just slightly less bad than like 7-8 other regular Cubs hitters.

He absolutely does not pass the eye test though.

This is one of the worst slumps since those rebuilding 2013-2014 teams. I mean it's horrendously bad, look at the 30 day splits (I know the sabermetrics peeps will skew it slightly upward with BABIP bad luck but these traditional stats are DEAD LAST):
