Will Counsell let him go to 100 pitches tonight ?

Hendricks will likely be back for Atlanta next week and they have an off day Thursday

We wouldnt have to worry about whether we should extend our starters beyond what Counsell is comfortable with if our offense could score a couple freaking runs to give us some cushion.  This is so damn frustrating.

The best job in the world must be earning lots of money in sport and absolutely sucking. I present you Ian Happ and his $20 million a year salary.

He most likely will be traded in offseason, hopefully Bellinger picks up his option and whether it's PCA or Caissie theyll be replacing him out there next season.

That was a tough throw for Morel.  Should have just held onto it knowing his issues with accuracy and Busch's extreme issues with catching the ball.

But I'll take the result lol

So the rotation is just absolutely refusing to give up runs

They have literally no other choice but to allow 0 runs.

That's 30 consecutive scoreless innings from the Cubs starters

At this point I'm not sure a Cy Young award is enough for how good Shota clearly is. The MLB will have to invent a new, more prestigious award to fully encapsulate Shota's brilliance.

The solution is obvious. Keep the same award, just rename it the Cy Imanaga Award.

If for some reason the Cubs retired the Padres 1-2-3 in the 8th, Neris would be facing the 3-4-5 guys in the order in the 9th, presumably still nursing a 1 run lead.

MLB should really create a new award - “The mental health award.”

For those heroes of the sport that pitch every 5 days in front of bad lineups.

I am shocked Imanaga is still out there

It shows you how much we don't trust our pen right now.
