Is Ohtani really a lyin’ liar?

Fan that caught his first Dodger HR seems to think so.  Among other problems with the Dodger organization and Ohtani, she says she didn’t even get to meet Ohtani after surrending the ball. Ohtani says otherwise:

“I was able to talk to the fan, and was able to get it back,” Ohtani said through interpreter Will Ireton. “Obviously it’s a very special ball, a lot of feelings toward it, I’m very grateful that it’s back.”

A few people on Twitter noting this could've been a translation thing where Ohtani meant he was able to communicate with the fan through a 3rd party, FWIW.
