The Cubs have been playing so well that I can’t count them out scoring 5 runs off the Mets pen in 3 innings but I kind of want them to just call it and save our arms.

This is purely anecdotal and without any statistical backing, but it feels like teams rarely come from behind after extended rain delays. That said, I don't count the Cubs out here.

Yeah his numbers were awful this year in the minors. It was going to catch up to him sooner or later, he just has no command.

Already working with one open spot in the rotation. Stroman really needs to be back to where he was earlier when he comes back. Then go Wesnecki or Assad in Smyly’s spot. Can’t keep putting Smyly out there. But also don’t love Wesnecki AND Assad in the rotation. One is ok, if Stroman is good to go. Both could be a problem. I am also not crazy about the idea of giving the young guys a chance. They aren’t even that good at AAA. If they are doing that, it is a last resort and not a good place to be. Guys like Killian, Brown or anyone else in the minors should not be pitchers you need to count on down the stretch.

I realize we lost by 9 but +2 runs to the Mets is terrible.
