OT: Does having PCA in the minors affect Bellingers decision on whether or not to sign with the Cubs? Knowing he would be pushed off CF and likely to 1st?

He's getting paid like a CF in FA regardless of where he ends up playing because that's the contract someone will be willing to offer him so I don't think it has much relevance to the conversation.

I'm no expert, but I'd say more than 0 less than 1%

Obviously he will take money if it’s significantly more than other offers. The question is whether he will get paid as a CF or a 1b… it’s do you think he would rather play CF or 1b?

surely if the team A has a CF and Team B doesn’t, if the contracts are remotely the same… he will take the CF team right? Especially if all other variables are even.

I guess it just depends on which position he’d rather play and who the 2 teams are (also assuming the money is equal). Getting paid as an elite CF and moving to 1B sounds pretty sweet to me lol. A lot easier position to play.

Player A: 88 MPH avg EVs, 112.5 max, 6.8% barrels, 18 LA, 38% hard hit, 7.5% BBs, 34% GBs, 46% FBs, 18% IFFBs, 34% O-swing

Player B: 87 MPH avg, 108 max, 6.1% barrels, 18 LA, 7.3% BBs, 32% hard hit, 7.1% BBs, 36% GBs, 45% FBs, 14% IFFBs, 33% O-swing

Any guesses on who the two players are? Clue: One is in line for alot more cap space than the other from a Cubs team trying to climb into the top tier of contenders this offseason

A) Jaimer Candelario

B) Cody Bellinger

Any thoughts on whether or not the numbers are in part a result of an altered approach with 2 strikes?  Especially lately, I've seen a good number of times where he's flipped a ball into LF with 2 strikes at a low EV but it's gone for a hit.  That combined with the drop in Ks leads me to believe that it's not all a decrease in ability/performance and may be a strategy to get on base more and K less.
