No fastball command tonight. Kept missing by just a little bit.

Ballesteros - bad body and defense and all - has to get some prospect love this offseason, right? Gonna be going into AA at 20 coming off of a season where he likely drew more walks than times struck out (currently at 54:50) with a well-below league average strikeout rate (14.7). Currently running a 20 HR/40 2B pace per 600 PA and a 143 over the two levels played at. The kid has raked.

If it ends up he can catch the kid is very interesting.

If he ends up at DH, the bat is very interesting.

Ballesteros is one of those prospects that makes me grateful the DH is universal now.  I always felt as if guys like Schwarber and Vogelbach lost a significant amount of trade value simply because half the teams in MLB had nowhere to put them.

I agree/ I think Ballesteros' bat has a chance to be special. What he's doing right now at his age is impressive. I still have some hope he can stick at catcher and play 1B but the bat is what will carry him.
