Thanks Tim for keeping this place running over all the years. I recognize that is has been largely a thankless job and you could have thrown in the towel at any time.

 

I would consider myself more of an under-the-radar B-Tier poster at best, but I really enjoy the small community that has been built here. Whenever news breaks (Cubs, other sports, or current events), this is usually the first place I go for reactions. I'm not sure what that says about me, but I appreciate the site's collective wisdom, or lack thereof, nonetheless.

 

I truly hope the new ownership can deliver on their promises to preserve and grow this community. None of us are getting any younger, and it certainly won't hurt to inject some new blood. Hopefully that can be done in a way that builds upon what has made this place so great.

This transition is reminding me that I don't really care that much about the Cubs, or well, sports in general, these days. A small, sometimes insular group here, but without you guys, It'd be much harder for me to know what tv shows & movies to watch and what books to read, among other things.
