Don't know that I've ever seen a box score where one team (OU) had five different players with a pass attempt

 

Michigan had 7 different players attempt and complete a pass against UConn a few weeks ago. But certainly a little different in a buy game vs against your arch rival lol

After week 3 I thought Michigan and OSU were basically a toss up. These last couple of weeks make me think Michigan has no shot.

BTW, despite the huge numbers, CJ Stroud is going to be just another NFL bust. The guy stares down his #1 read just like every other OSU QB, but gets away with it because they're always wide open. One of the few times that MSU mixed up their coverage, he threw a pick six straight to a Spartan DB

The two turnovers in 3 minutes doesn't help matters, and losing Devito in the 1st quarter is a shame, because I'm not sure Art Sitkowski is the answer at QB.

Tommy Devito is still Illinois' leading passer, and he hasn't played for two quarters.

Seems to be the general consensus that the top 3 teams in the Big Ten are Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State and probably in that order.

 

My question is: who is the 4th best team in the Big Ten?

 

Candidates are probably Illinois, Maryland or Minnesota.

 

Illinois is playing the best football and their defense is legitimately good. Their best win is a solid win. Yes Wisconsin probably sucks, but Madison is still a hard place to come and win much less completely blow them out. Their loss was at Indiana which is not a great loss but could be worse

 

Maryland has only lost at Michigan, and they kept the game annoyingly close throughout. They looked good in that game. Their offense is good, their defense is not but still seems a little better than many expected. The problem is that their best win was either against MSU or SMU. MSU is in a free fall but SMU seems decent (they lost to undefeated TCU by 1 score after falling to Maryland)

 

Minnesota was likely many people's number 4s before last week. They pulverized their first 4 opponents, which included 2 P5 teams, but came home and lost to a decent Purdue team. Their defense remained really good even in the defeat but it was a bit deflating coming off the MSU road win (further devalued because MSU lost again the next week and clearly seems to not be good)

 

I could be talked into all 3 of them to be honest.

Illinois plays Minnesota next week after hopefully beating Iowa 6-4.

I mean, I was close.

Florida St down 2 and in FG range and they try to throw a corner route just short of the end zone from like the 20 and it got picked. Don’t know if WR ran the wrong route or if the QB overthrew it but WTF are you doing throwing the ball in that situation? Just run it or throw safe passes.

Jimbo Fisher is a befuddling coach, even inside the same game. Great job pushing Bama all the way to the end, and then pretty much all he has to offer on the final drive is the QB tossing up prayers into double coverage. Failing to throw the ball into the end zone with 3 seconds on the clock is just ridiculous.
