After his long outing last week he gave up 3 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks in the 1st inning.

 

Corey Dickerson has now had 9 hits in his last 9 plate appearances.

Goldschmidt is now 1 HR away from leading the NL in BA, HR and RBI. He's 35 years old, and the previous oldest Triple Crown winner was 31. He's 4 full years older, but he's got that Cardinals devil magic in him.

Of course, the fact that they are both putting up the best years of their career - Goldschmidt's OPS+ is thirty damn five points higher than any other year and Arenado's is 29 higher - when everything we know about baseball aging curves suggests they shouldn't be (especially Goldschmidt) is still horsefeathering [expletive] regardless of how they got them.
