Six?! That's a ton, I'm curious if that's guys leaving the ACL in general, so like inclusive of the pair of injury rehab dudes mentioned, or if it's legit six guys going from the ACL to Myrtle Beach.

So 6 included Alzolay and Hermosillo to AAA and these 3 to ACL:

Not sure who the 6th is (if there is one) - maybe Kachmar who was rehabbing to South Bend? Excited for Pedro.

Nwogu hit HR #3 of the day. Also has a single. It’s the 5th.

PCA HR too.

nwogu has kind of flown beneath the radar this year but all in all he's been pretty solid, and he's up to an .836 ops now at a level which (i believe) has been somewhat pitcher-friendly. that swing is kind of unorthodox, but boy he seems to generate a lot of power with a pretty compact swing and without loading up too much from his lower body.

ballasteros has a single, double and 2 walks tonight. he really hasn't looked out of place at all at myrtle beach, which is a great sign for an 18 year old.

.844 OPS in 73 PA as an 18-year old.

Also it’s up to .862 now after a single.

I love the binge. Not to be unfair to Moises, but he's it's probably worth noting that he's living it with a .386 BABIP, and has 16:1 K/HR. Does Carolina league restrict shifting? I'm guessing a life built on BABIP would be especially hard for a lefty slow-poke in leagues where scouting and shifting were realities?

Mervis continuing this trick of improving his peripherals at increasing levels is something else. At this trajectory he’d be prime Yuli Gurriel at the MLB level after starting the year with a .676 OPS at Myrtle Beach to his name.

I just want him to have a winter in Arizona where he has access to dieticians and a personal trainer at the club's expense. There is no telling what kind of player he could be. I mean, if he is a possible defensive catcher at that weight, imagine the possibilities. I suppose I should ask, is he a possible defensive catcher or are we looking at a DH/1st type guy when he moves up?
