Sucks. Happy we played a competitive back and forth game against a contender on national tv. But in falling short at the end the Bulls flaws again show themselves for everyone to see.

Sucks that this fun season is going to be defined by a historic inability to beat good teams by the national media. Well unless we do something about it

Also I bet they dont notice DJJs shot on Allen if they weren’t looking out for flagrant against him. But I wonder how that last possession would have been different (where LaVine got fouls and then didn’t get fouled shooting a 3) if the Bulls were down 2 instead of 4.

0-13 against the top teams.

Oof.

This does not say anything about anything but the Bulls are now 15-107 against the top 5 seeds of either conference since the start of the 2017-2018 season. I know the Bulls were bad all those years but that seems pretty incredible. Most good teams will have a couple slip-ups against bad teams that they take lightly but it was almost never against the bulls

DD 9/27 on 2s. That can’t be your offense when you don’t play defense down the stretch, and give up 33 free throw attempts.

ayo and coby haven't attempted a free throw in the last 3 games--they need to be way more aggressive scoring, teams are scheming the derozan ISOs better they need to step up

demar in playoff form against good teams

i don't even care about the injuries anymore, this is just insane. like, you have to run into a win against a good team at somepoint with zach and derozan together, right?

In general good teams have good defense and know how to guard the Bulls to dare anyone but DeRozan to score on them. Vuc is in another shooting slump, Zach is hobbled, Coby is on the cold end of his continual hot and cold stretches, Ayo is scared to shoot.

Of course offense is the least of the Bulls worries. It’s just that I’ve completely given up on their defense without Ball and/or Caruso mostly because the players have given up on defense. The only way they’re going to win with the current healthy roster is by outscoring them and right now the Bulls are even struggling to score at times

Caruso is cleared for full contact practices. Seems like he's maybe 5-7 days away?

Source?

OK now I'm confused and might have gotten Greenberg'd

"per sources"

then I see this:

Think I may stop trusting Greenberg, especially when his sources are vague. It was my understanding that he just regurgitates info from other sources so its strange that he's reporting it "per sources"

So there's this, but KC also later reports that Caruso has not yet been ruled out for tomorrow's game. My guess is he doesn't play tomorrow but he's pretty close.

Williams also participated in all non-contact portions of practice

Caruso back tonight

But in 2021-2022 Bulls fashion that announcement comes with an announcement that Lavine is out. Sounds like just maintenance on the knee but strange after 2 straight off days
