I know I didn’t literally jinx the team but I typed up that post and thought “too cocky don’t hit submit” but did anyways. Blazers finished the game on a 69-44 run

i don't really care about this loss. they were clearly gassed, and 20 point leads in today's nba mean nothing. we'll probably lose to denver too (jokic is going to destroy our front court). i'm just thinking about whooping the knicks after that.

would be nice if coby could score a point

What a frustrating loss. I had a bad feeling at halftime even up 15. With virtually nothing from Dame & McCollum it seemed like the lead should have been a lot bigger. So sloppy and cold from the field in the 2nd half. And how many times does Lavine miss that wide open 3 to tie the game at the end? Not very often. Oh well, win the next one and go home with a 3-2 west coast trip.

And Bradley has been straight trash the last handful of games.

3-2 on a tough west coast trip isn’t too shabby with Niko down

Not trying to be negative but they should’ve been 4-1.

So much to love about this team. Jones and Ayo coming up huge last night. And that Caruso defense is flat out ridiculous.I hope Coby finds his rhythm soon. He looks lost out there right now.

DJJ is better for this team than Markkanen would be, and oh they picked up a 1st along the way.

That launch a couple steps from the charity strip was awesome.

It is what it is. That game against Portland still stings but it’s the NBA and teams blow big leads all the time. The Bulls did something similar against the Celtics a couple weeks ago. Not excusing it, but I’ve accepted that it’s going to happen to all teams. What matters is how you respond and the Bulls responded with a win in a tough place to play, albeit without multiple key players.

It was nice to see Coby drain three 3's in a row. I really hope this gets him back in the groove.

For some reason I got the Knicks broadcast on my DVR and it was brutal listening to their announcers. They were almost as bad as the officiating.

My DVR deleted the recording before I watched it.

Isn't that 8-5 over this 13 game stretch of probable playoff teams?

Yep and now the reward is the Pacers (under. 500), Rockets (1-15 this year) and Magic though the schedule does pick up again afterwards for a bit (Miami, Charlotte, NYK, Brooklyn, Denver)

ELO is starting to reflect the hot early starts more, as the Bulls are now projected 5th in the East:

1. Nets 52-30

2. Heat 50-32

3. 76ers 49-33

4. Bucks 48-34

5. Bulls 48-34

6. Wizards 48-34

7. Hawks 43-39

8. Knicks 43-39

9. Pacers 41-41

10. Celtics 40-42

Updated ELO projections for the week in the East:

1. Bulls 52-30

2. Nets 51-31

3. Heat 51-31

4. Bucks 49-33

5. 76ers 49-33

6. Wizards 47-35

7. Hawks 45-37

8. Celtics 42-40

9. Knicks 41-41

10. Hornets 40-42

Effectively, by rating, the Bulls are still barely 5th (#1 is Bucks/Nets/Heat tie at 1591, #4 is 76ers at 1589, #5 is Bulls at 1585...#6 is Hawks at 1552), so it'll be tight all season for where the top 5 seeds all eventually pan out, and if the Wizards can keep up. But Bulls are now at 90% odds to make the playoffs opposed to about 35% by ELO going into the season.

Ouch. Really off night. Looks like they mailed this one in because they’ve been dominated consistently from tip off. Allowed to have an off night but I don’t think this team should be losing by 35+ points at home to the Pacers

It was the perfect storm. Horrible matchup without Vuc, no Caruso, 2nd night of a back to back shortly after a west coast trip, cold shooting across the board, and a hot Pacers team that isn't as bad as their record indicates.
