It may have taken like 8 tries and it comes way to late to help us but at least Jed finally fixed the backup catcher problem.

I feel drawn to these games just basically because every game could be the core's last.

Yeah, a month ago I would have gone "Davies is starting? Nah." But I know I need to watch all the even iffy games for this next week.

Davies' value is going to be really interesting. Since May 1st, he's basically been his normal self, save for an elevated walk rate. I feel like you *could* talk yourself into that being him nibbling due to limited run support.

Can you also maybe chalk April up to new balls and that mucking up a finesse guy more than typical?

So how much do you value "probably still Zach Davies"? Feels like Davies will be a good measure of how good of a pure salesman Jed is.

I'm kind of sort of on-board the "Trade Davies" train. There's a possibility the Cubs hit on a lottery ticket or two for him and every team seems to be scrambling for innings from starters going down the stretch, but man, this rotation is already butt and trading Davies will just make it even worse.

Well, it will be good to see what we've got in Thompson and Steele in the rotation after the deadline.

Unfortunately, every single starter in AAA and AA has been awful in one way or another this year.

Booger and JD were talking about nicknames the other day and I'd like to put forth that going forward Keegan Thompson should be called "Waterfalls" Thompson on air from now on.
