Kudos to that Suns team. 100% deserved it. There's been (and certainly will be more of) a bit of "oh well the Suns only advanced because of the AD injury". And while that might be true, the Suns did win Game 1 when AD was healthy and had already erased the deficit in Game 4 and were winning that game when AD went down. I would still favor the Lakers to win the series if AD doesn't suffer the groin injury but neither him nor LeBron were 100% healthy before that.

Just hoping for Dallas to win their series so I can fully enjoy Suns-Nuggets and Jazz-Mavs. Plus Bucks-Nets should be a good one also.

Lifelong Suns fan here. That Denver series is going to be nuts. I still don't know what to think about the Jazz or Mavs (or Clippers for that matter). I don't know if either of those teams are good enough to get out of the West or win a title. Obviously the Jazz has the best record, but they seem vulnerable to me. Mavs need more help for Luka. Clippers seem like a team that will get better as the playoffs go on, but they are an L away from being done.

So much is going to come down to health. Chris Paul, Mike Conley, Joel Embiid, Porzingis are all clearly under 100%. I honestly think Denver has the best shot to come out the West. Jokic is that good right now. I'm rooting for the Bucks to pull out that series, but Nets are the team to beat obviously.

Just realized we’re going to have two teams in the finals that have either never been there or haven’t been there in a long time.

Clippers and Nuggets have never been there.

Mavs: 2011 (two Finals apps total)

Jazz: 1998 (two total)

Suns: 1993 (two total)

Sixers: 2001 (only app since 1983)

Nets: 2003 (two total)

Bucks: 1974 (two total)

Hawks: 1961 (four total)

In the West, only the Mavs have won a title. In the East, only the Nets haven’t won a title but the Sixers in 83 was the most recent.

Yeah but if it’s like the Clippers vs Nets it’s not going to feel very novel since they are just manufactured super teams that will wear jerseys that don’t match their historical team colors

True. Plus while both play in big cities they’re the second tier team in those cities.

Who can beat the Nets?

I think at their best the Clippers can. That sounds crazy given they barely got by Dallas but i think they could hypothetically match up better against them than the Bucks can.

While I gripe at the NBA a lot over the last couple of years, I do enjoy how wide open it seems. Would hate for that to be taken over by a Nets super team dynasty.

Legendary KD game tonight. Played every minute and had 49 points on 16-23 shooting, 17 reb and 10 ast.

That being said, huge choke job by Milwaukee. Harden clearly wasn’t himself (1-10 shooting including 0-8 from 3) since he only took 2 shots from inside the arc. Milwaukee led by double figures but couldn’t put them away.

Giannis desperately needs a post game. There was a possession late where he got the ball in the post with Harden guarding him and he settled for a fadeaway turnaround jumper. There’s no reason he shouldn’t be able to get a layup or dunk there. He’s trying to force becoming a three point shooter and I think we’ve got enough evidence that’s not going to happen. So do the next best thing and learn to destroy dudes inside in the post.

Lucky for Paul & the Suns that they won't have another game for a while but I bet he's not vaccinated and will take longer to clear protocols.

LOL Sixers. Blew an 18 point lead two days ago and a 20+ point lead tonight.

Embiid and Curry were the only two Sixers who scored from the field in the second half.

Even in Kobe’s 81 point game, where he scored 55 in the second half, three other players made at least one FG in the second half (sure, two of them only made one FG but that’s not the point). L

Blows my mind how bad Giannis is at shooting FT’s.

68.5% this year. He’s not great but he’s not Shaq either, or even Ben Simmons.

Simmons can’t shoot at all and Shaq was a center.

Giannis probably should be a center also. A more athletic one but he’s 7’. Giannis is a better shooter than Simmons but I wouldn’t say Giannis can shoot.

Just because he’s 7’ doesn’t mean he should be a center in today’s game. He’s not built like a traditional center by any stretch of the imagination. Guys like Dirk & KD have zero problems shooting at high %’s despite being 7’ tall.
