Jamal Murray tore his ACL. Tough luck for Denver. Probably torpedoes their chances next season also because of how late in the season it is.

Honestly, if people step up (Morris, Barton, Gordon) I think they can still make some noise this season. Jokic is that good that they probably can win a first round series still. I think they can take anyone lower than them currently in the standings, except a healthy Lakers team. So if they stay out of that 4/5 matchup with them, I definitely think they can give the Suns, Clippers or Jazz a run for their money.

Steph has made at least 10 3's in four of his last five games. Only one other player has at least four game in their entire career with at least 10 3's made (Klay with 5).

6 games with 10 threes this year. 2nd season he's had more 10-3pointer games than everyone else has ever had.

So I know I’m not in the desired demographic, and outside of Black Panther and Guardians I’ve never sat through a Marvel movie, but this is really bad.

So the Clippers lost to the Rockets today which brings up an interesting scenario.

Denver is now the 3 seed as they have the tiebreaker over the Clippers. Portland is the 6 seed and a 1/2 game up on the Lakers and they have the tiebreaker. However, Denver plays Portland in the final game for both teams. So if Denver wins, they'd get the 3 seed but they could relegate the Blazers to 7 which means Denver would draw the Lakers in the 1st round. Lakers do play Indiana who is fighting for the 8 seed still so it's no guarantee the Lakers win. But if Denver loses, they'll probably get the 4 seed and draw the Mavs (Clips play the Thunder in their last game). Don't know how Denver matches up with Utah vs Phoenix either. Maybe they'd prefer one over the other if they can win their 1st round series.

It took LeBron for me to root for Chris Paul. Never has a superstar flopped, whined and bitched the way LBJ does. AD on that team makes them easy to root against.

The Clippers tanking to avoid the Lakers in the first two rounds and/or play the Mavs instead of the Blazers only to lose to the Mavs and before they’d even have the chance to play the Lakers would be hilarious.

thibs gonna get every last bit of rose and tajs hit points in this series

I couldn’t stop watching that game just because of the MSG crowd. I can’t wait for Fall sports with full stadiums.

Lillard is out of his mind tonight. 55 points on 12-17 from 3 midway through the second OT. Game tying 3’s at the end of regulation and OT.

There’s 2 people in the history of the world that can do what Dame just did. That was an unreal stretch of basketball.

You mean two others or two including Dame? One is obviously Steph so if it’s two others (so three total), who is the other one?

Poor wording. Steph and Dame. That’s it. I wouldn’t bet against MJ developing that kind of insane 3pt shooting ability if he played in this era, though.

That’s what I thought you meant. Yeah, pretty much anyone else who is scoring 55 points on only 24 shots is someone like Harden who does it while getting to the line 22 times.

The getting your own shot is the difference. Klay could get 55 on 24 shots but it’s going to be him spotting up. Like when he scored 60, he only took 11 dribbles the entire game.

Not to take anything away from Klay because he might be the second best shooter ever and was a really good defender, he’s just gets his differently than Steph and Dame.
