The only thing Bears fans love more than a backup QB is a white RB no matter how bad they are.

Packers fan relish it even more.

I think gushing over white RB (or white WR) is just your typical NFL fan thing. The backup QB thing though definitely is unique to a franchise like the Bears.

i definitely don't see the white RB thing at all. i have a hard time even naming one they've had other than nall. i'm sure i'm forgetting someone but have they even had any in the past several years that wasn't some fringe practice squad guy who maybe saw a snap at some point?

Am I imagining things or was there a post recently about how Leno has been the 3rd best run blocking OT over the past month or so? I can’t seem to find it now.

Not imagining he's really stepped up his play:

Bears have averaged 30 ppg for 4 straight games for the first time since 1965

Sayers and Butkus’ rookie years, Sayers lit up the league with 22 TD, including the fabled 6 TD game (which my Dad was at).

Someday PFF is going to admit their grades are RNG

The Jags have played lots of teams close during their win streak. Blowing them out is a fine accomplishment.

They lost their last 2 games prior to this by 3+ scores. But those blowouts were against Baltimore and Tennessee so at least were in good company.

There’s been a number of teams in the last few weeks that couldn't beat teams that had nothing to play for. This was a nice win for the Bears and they hammered who they should of. Edited by Wilson A2000

Such as the Rams, losing to the Jets. Kind of unsettling when we’d like their help next week.

I don't think the Bears can afford to back into the playoffs. They have to beat GB.

Eh. I mean if they continue to look like a real team on offense, I'd take backing in after a 34-28 loss. But if it's 27-3 right before halftime against GB again, then I won't feel very confident that they won't get completely embarrassed in back-to-back weeks.

I'd doubt they win either way, but potential matchups against the Saints and Seahawks don't look super daunting. Brees can't really throw anymore. If Pagano can figure out how to make aggressive play calls this time around, the Saints are a team Foles took to OT. Seattle is tough, but their offense hasn't been great recently. The defense looks like it's coming around, though.

If they don’t decide to flex Rams/Cardinals to SNF I’m really hoping they move the Bears to late afternoon game so that it’s played at same time as LAR.

If the Bears play and lose in the early games, the Rams take the field knowing they just clinched the playoffs and suddenly all their motivation to win/play starters is gone.

Same scenario if that game is flexed to SNF but I can understand why the NFL would flex a game that is guaranteed to clinch a playoff spot for the winner

For whatever reason the Rams aren’t the team they were when they wiped the field with our defense earlier in the season. AZ can definitely win that game.

BTW that’s a home game for the Rams but will they move it elsewhere because of restrictions?

With the way the Bears offense is playing, it's more likely to be 42-38 then 34-28. But to hell with all of that, just win.

Goff broke his thumb so the Bears will have to do the impossible of beating the Packers in a win-and-in situation.

He played today with it broken, can’t he play next week with it broken?
