watching kyle schwarber bat really gives you a tidy summary of the post 2016 cubs offense. trying to force deep at-bats by taking hittable pitches instead of actually recognizing balls vs strikes, missing meatballs right down the middle, failing to make contact when it's paramount, and hitting a solo or 2-run home run once every 4 games.

I’m struggling to remember a time where the Cubs struggled worse than this offensively for an extended stretch. This is anemic offense against 2 pretty mediocre starters the last 2 nights coming off a series where we scored 2 total runs

if theo thought the offers weren't there for our hitters last offseason, then how is he supposed to make any moves this offseason? how can we shake things up when none of our guys even have value?

Has Jose Martinez ever had a hit? For someone who is an awful defender, you would think he would have at least one redeeming quality that got him to the major leagues. Apparently not.
