I feel bad because from all accounts Almora is a good dude, his teammates love him and his reaction to the foul ball incident last year still breaks my heart as it was so raw and genuine.

But the dude sucks at baseball to the point where not even a 28 man roster is enough to hide him.

Also if this is his Cubs goodbye, thank you for tagging up from first in The Game and for getting that huge hit to score Zo and tie the game in G3 of the 2017 NLDS. I still foolishly wonder if he’s fixable because that season he was actually a reliable bat against lefties to the point where I felt somewhat confident in that aforementioned AB

Don't forget he took Kershaw deep to give us an early lead in Game 1 of the 17 NLCS. I thought for all the world we were repeating when that happened.

Such a Hendry selection. It really surprised me when Theo was so high on this dude.

IIRC we were incredibly high on Correa and thought we could get him, the Astros had a scout at some game/showcase that wasn’t even there to watch him but saw Correa and they fell in love. But Theo was pretty confident we had a really good shot at Correa if the Astros didn’t snipe him. Raisin told me this I believe.
