Since I can't get Marquee, is there any word on a potential start time for the game?

I havent heard anything official, but educated guess no earlier than about 70 minutes, probably no more than about 90.

Seems like more masking up in the dugout tonight than there was at Wrigley.

Souza and Willy tattooed those doubles.

Thom Brennaman just stated (as FACT) that there is a 0% chance that Bryant signs long term, and that “there isn’t a single person in the Cubs organization who believes that Bryant will be a Cub next year”

Gameday has BDJ’s fastball topping out at 91mph. Is that right?

He’s been 89-91 and hit 92 once. If he can be 90-92 he can get by if he’s spotting it. Also threw a nice change up that was a borderline strike

Is it just me or are Len’s calls about 1 second delayed? I know they’re doing the broadcast from Wrigley, just didn’t expect there to be any technical concerns from it.

I haven’t noticed any delay.

Did Votto have arm problems in the past? Or am I remembering that wrong?

I'm kinda disappointed that Javy didn't take off for home on those pickoff throws to first base with two outs.

The Cubs have to lead MLB in hbp at this point, right?

Yeah I was just going to ask if HBP was up league wide or were the Cubs way ahead, they have to have about 8 by now.

There have been a couple of hits where it seems like it’s a second or so until Len starts his call. Like on the Contreras double down the line he didn’t react to say it was fair until well after the ump made the fair call. There was one in the 2nd inning too.

Edit: this is the Willson hit. Thought maybe Len had trouble seeing the ball or something until I remembered he’s probably watching the same feeds we are, or very similar feeds.

on the Len & JD podcast with Boog Sciambi, Len and Boog were talking about how on remote calling they would want a view that was a hard cam from/near the announce area (they had a name for that camera angle, can't remember). It sounded like Len believed he would have that, so it's possible he was watching that and not the tv feed so he didn't see the ump calling it fair like we did.
