My spot in the order earlier in the summer brought a spot start by Alec Mills. It resulted in a 4 game winning streak. Hoping for the same, otherwise this season is kaput.

I’m the biggest Almora hater you’ll find, he still was a successful pick. He made the major leagues and was somewhat productive for a stretch. Most first round picks don’t even make it. The problem was not developing him better or selling him off when he had some value before he sucked.

I had been under the impression that the main reason they picked Correa was they could sign him for cheap and spend more money elsewhere and the fact that he was good was essentially a bonus.

Yea but had they drafted Correa they never would have traded for Addison. Thats like a win-win for the evil-doer Ricketts. You miss on a star, and you plague your team with a true demon

The cost was definitely a part of it. They got Correa for under slot and it allowed them to get Lance McCullers.
