Cubs started their bad stretch on June 10. They’ve played 24 games since then and are 9-15. Russell has started 16 of those games and the Cubs are 3-13. In the 8 games he hasn’t started, they’re 6-2.

 

He also didn’t start any of the 3 games against the Cardinals the weekend before and the Cubs swept the series. The weekend before that when the Cards swept the Cubs, guess who started all three games?
