I actually do not like the way this draft is setting up for the Bulls because GarPax suck at their jobs.

Garpax will do something like LaVine, #7 and another 1st to NO for #4.

If they really like 1 of Garland/Culver/White I could see #7, and top ~5 protected next year to move up to 4. I’m fairly confident next years draft isn’t that great. Get your future PG/Scoring wing in Culver and start moving forward. That trade tonight, a backup PG, 3 and D wing, C and PF FA to fill out the roster and that’s a 6-8 seed if things break right. Who cares if you lose out on the 15-19th pick next year then.

He's obviously raw and doesn't seem like much of a facilitator yet but there's a lot of upside and he has that chip on the shoulder type of dog in him. He should become a fan favorite pretty quickly and he has a nice shot.

Living in NC, I saw plenty of White and heard several interviews from ACC basketball people smarter than me.

From the sound of it, (and passing my personal “I hate all UNC players test” to the degree of, “OK, he’s actually good”)...he progressed very quickly. I’m no expert of basketball but I am an expert of hating UNC while reluctantly accepting when they are a good team and/or players.

Anyway, he obviously has talent but nobody thought he could run an offense as quickly and efficiently as he did. He’s fast as hell but his shot was much better than some thought. He’s clearly talented but apparently beyond that he quickly became a much more complete basketball player than most imagined.

Just my two cents from down here in Tobacco Road country. It’s likely worth nothing but thought I’d share regardless.

You are correct. He was a “score first” PG but I think that is what UNC required last year at times. I’m not sold it would have been his first choice otherwise. He had the ability to take over games himself at times and so he/UNC ran with it. No pun intended. The guy is crazy quick.

I don't know anything about Bol Bol, but ESPN has had him as best available for a long time now. Why is he falling so far?

Big dude with a bad foot injury giving flashbacks to big dudes past who had nagging foot injuries that shortened their careers significantly, or worse.

Makes sense, but seems like a risk worth taking at this point in the draft.

I definitely agree. It's a gamble, but I'd do it.

He's also super skinny and has a weird body type. Needs to add some good weight/muscle. Not a fan of Bol Bol. I don't really like the C the Bulls took in the 2nd round either, but hey, at least we didn't trade it for cash considerations this time.

Not much to lose at pick #41 in the draft, but you guys got a huge upside guy in Daniel Gafford. He primarily a monster finisher, shot blocker and rebounder at this stage but coud be great with some actual coaching. He's a late bloomer guy and was not going to get any better under Mike Anderson at Arkansas. Potentially a great pick and roll guy, runs the floor well and might develop into a Marcus Camby type player.

The hair helps this comparison, but his mannerisms really remind me of Joakim.

He doesn't have the energy on court as Noah did. He's a human highlight reel of dunks and blocked shots, though. Again, if he could be taught some plays like the pick and roll to go along with his open court game, he could be really good.

Haha I meant just the pure mannerisms of White, not Gafford.
