Yeah, at best it’s a 50-50 call but I thought the ump got it right.

That Contreras AB was as bad as any horsefeathers burger Almora has ever served up. Colossally bad work

Swing or not, Willy was the big letdown. Dude had a variety of ways to get a run home with the infield in, and he just swung at whatever was thrown.

Bryant must really be in the dog house with probably 3-4 good chances to PH him and he didn’t even step on the on deck circle.

 

Oh well, a couple of blown calls made a difference in the game. That awful strike call earlier in the game on a 3-1 count with a runner on 1st and 0 outs. The next pitch was a strike out/Caught stealing double play. The Cubs later managed to score that inning but could have had a few more. Then that call which TBH is so close it’s not ridiculously bad but since game was on the line it hurts.

Javy not scoring from 2B on that dropped ball and Willy having a miserable AB are both worse than that call on the strike out or not not on Schwarbs there.
