Position-for-Position means if you place someone at SS (which TomtheBombadil did), then you must replace him with a SS.

 

I didn't realize that he put Trea Turner at SS, so his swap for Marcus Semien is legit, and I can process both of his requests today.

You have to wait 30 days between bench player swaps. There's no 'since Opening Day' provision.
