Texas being number 9 is silly. It is almost amazing that Florida didn't get a bigger bump. The beating a top 10 SEC school usually gets another SEC more than 5 spots in the poll.

Auburn picked the wrong year to extend Malzahn, especially with that amazing buy-out.

Turns out Illinois is still bad this year, huh?

They've only 6 SR on the whole roster, I know playing all the FR will payoff at some point but, it is Illinois and Lovie Smith.

5 mil a year for Lovie. I know coaches usually deserve 1 full recruiting cycle but, they would be justified if they canned him.

Appears they gotten it wrong in BB as well, just sad, they've been surpassed by Northwestern (in BB as well, long surpassed in FB).

Completely disagree, Underwood was a great hire and they have a really solid, deep class coming in this year. That is an awful take for a single year.

I hope you're correct, although, I believe he's the only Big Ten Coach without a 2019 commitment which is discouraging.

They just finished putting together a 7 player 2018 class and they're heavily recruiting 2019 talent. It's still super early, and they mifht have just 2 apots available.

Illinois' problems in both programs right now is trying to recover from awful talent voids left by prior regimes. The FB program has 6 seniors and is coming off a win (yes, today was their worst showing). The BB program has 4 returning players after offloading a bunch of secondary talent and a talented graduate.

Patience is a key right now, as both sports are rebuilding from scratch.

I agree that Underwood was a great hire. Lovie was either going to be a great hire based on name recognition and his ability to create a good staff especially in-state. Unfortunately, Lovie hasn't recruited well and been able to get over the Beckman tenure.

Michigan might be really good. They'd better be because it might be ND's only ranked win when it's all over.

Granted if they keep playing like today (what the hell is it with Pitt against unbeaten ND teams) it won't matter.

Not trying to be a ND hater, but I think a rematch would be different....that being said I also think Michigan is going to lose 2 more games
