Dear Cubs

Kris Bryant was asked if his injuries will keep him out of the lineup tomorrow

The good news is that they still can win the Central

After calming down, it’s not ideal but all 3 outcomes after tomorrow have their advantages. Obviously the best scenario is to win the Central outright. If we tie, we have 2 chances to win ourselves into the NLDS. If we lose, obviously the least ideal but at least we get a day off before the WC Game

It’ll be alright no matter what happens. Just want to see these guys celebrate, the fans too. They’ve overcome a lot this season, regardless of individual performance for certain players, they all deserve to let loose. We made the playoffs and will finish with a top 2 record in our league. We did that after 3 straight NLCS’s with a World Series title in the middle.

Something tells me the Tigers are going to shock the world either tonight or tomorrow. Or maybe it's the liquor talking

Cardinals are just playing for pride.

They haven’t seen the playoffs since Piscotty missed Rondon’s Pitch in the dirt almost 3 years ago. Look forward to the drought continuing next year!

It’s probably worse that the Cardinals are eliminated. Any pressing that they might have been doing will be completely lifted. And Flaherty will throw like 120 pitches

They won’t abuse their young arm in a meaningless game. But the hitters might have better approaches that’s possible. Hopefully they trot out the back half of the pen like Cecil and the other garbage.

Cubs 2nd half days off:

July 30th- 12 games in previous 11 days, after being 1 of 2 teams not to get the extra day for the AS break

Aug 9th-

Aug 13th

Aug 20th

Sept 7th and 9th- did not play, but sat at the park for hours waiting to play games that never happened

Sept 20th- exactly a month between off days, stretch included a double-header, flying from Chicago to DC back to Chicago in a day

And now fittingly, they conceivably could have to play Monday and Tuesday before either getting 1 precious day off despite having the best record in the NL after 162 or having 6 months off, despite having the best record in the NFL after 162.

At this point, it would be a spite championship.
