I'm really really happy the Cubs are having some laughers against the best team left on the schedule. They needed it, and it's really nice to see some good offensive results.

All our good relievers have basically had this series off so far. That should help them be fresh down the stretch run which they will need with Morrow not coming back and Strop maybe not coming back either.

So, given all the complaining about how Joe doesn't know how to manage a bullpen, I thought I'd look at the bullpen ERA. Cubs are 4th best in baseball despite the injuries, bad Carl appearances and giving a boatload of innings to Bass, Norwood, Butler, Mazzoni, Mills, Happ, Rizzo, Zastryzny, Hancock, Chatwood, Farrell, LaStella, Caratini, Gimenez & Maples. Not to mention being able to get quality innings from Chavez, De La Rosa and Gracia.
