They were 2-14 in their previous 16 games and a very poor offense was a big part of that. The Cubs starting pitching has statistically been one of the 2-3 worst staffs in the NL so it makes sense they get going against us.

Their offense is in the bottom 2 of almost every team stat except for dongs, where they manage a might #4. So clearly the type of team that a team that totally really isn't definitely for sure not the fraud team in the division should be struggling to handle.

Addy's career slugging is getting dangerously close to being under .400. I know he's still a league average hitting SS, but I expected more.

Since I’m feeling negative I’ll point out that this starter has made 16 starts and 14 of those starts have been 5.2 IP or less, and the 2 that were longer were exactly 6 IP. He’s at 51 through 4 so we might see him break that ceiling today against our slumping offense

Lester is kind of shitty. Unfortunately, I have more faith in him than any other cub pitcher not named Hamels or Bote right now
