We’re 1 game up in August, it’s a 1 run game and the wind is blowing out. Edwards threw 9 pitches yesterday, he should definitely pitch the 9th

 

If it’s Justin Wilson I will...do nothing but yell but I’ll definitely be angry online

Hmm, I actually didn't realize how bad Happ has been vs lefties. I don't mind that move now honestly.

 

Happ is a .670 OPS vs lefties this year. Caratini is .574.

 

I don’t think anyone would have minded if they let Happ hit and PH Almora for the pitcher. But like someone else said, he basically picked Caratini to bat over Happ.

 

I guess, but Almora's contact ability is more valuable the earlier you use him there, meaning with less than two outs.

 

Considering how slow he is, I’d almost rather he bat with two outs so he can’t GIDP.

 

None of them seemed like great options there so I tend to go with the higher upside guy. Could very easily have gotten no runs letting Happ bat and using Almora after Willy.

This is a game where a Cubs team playing well keeps adding on runs and ends up winning like 11-5. Insane that the Cubs might get shut out for 6 straight innings in these conditions against these pitchers.
