Our Cobs need to find another starter

Maybe 3 more. The starting pitching is a disaster and combined with the bipolar offense I find myself hating baseball all too often

 

We're 18 over .500 and have the best record in the NL.

Monty also had 5 straight starts before that giving up 1 run or less and has a 4.02 FIP and 3.56 ERA while starting this year and isn't walking 8 per 9.

Montgomery has been hit hard, but every non-elite guy has stretches like this over the course of the year. He's not walking a ton of guys and he doesn't have a HR problem, so I tend to view it as just a slump. He was fortunate when he was a 1 something ERA during his first month in the rotation, and he's been unfortunate lately. Baseball.

Montgomery has been hit hard, but every non-elite guy has stretches like this over the course of the year. My brain tells me that very little of this is probably actually his fault - but I still can’t imagine he’s still here next year.

 

With what’s happened to the rotation and the continued poop that is our minor league pitching, there needs to be some kind of complete overhaul with the coaching/development.

He blocked me on Twitter. I don't think I've ever seen a more truly miserable account. I was told he was a gimmick, but a gimmick would be more sarcastic and witty with his tweets and replies... But I actually feel kind of bad for him because the root cause seems like some sort of mental health issue.
