Bad game, whatever, but the last few starts by Jon....I feel the dreaded Peripherals are coming for him

The problem we have is that the teams we will compete with in the playoffs can hit as well as us. Even with Darvish coming back, we need another top of the rotation type of guy to take advantage of the window.

In the AL maybe, but the NL nobody hits close to as well as us. The pitching still will be mostly fine (plus just get another bullpen arm and we can bullpen it most playoff games) but I’m all for adding another dude depending on cost.

The goal is to win the whole thing.

We’re in as good a spot as anyone in the NL to get there. I’m not going to worry about the AL in July. Theo will make another move or two and some (hopefully all) of the rotation guys will figure out and be fine.

The Cubs will win in the playoffs just like they are winning now. The formula doesn't change. It actually just becomes more advantageous to the way our roster is constructed. We will bullpen the horsefeathers out of teams.

Has anyone ever come back from a 15 run deficit with 9 outs to go?

I remember the Indians having some crazy comeback in the 90s or early 2000s. Idk if 15 runs big but I swear they scored like 12 in the 9th or something.

I’m not sure whether to be impressed by the fight in the guys despite the huge deficit or upset at the 3 wasted bases loaded, 1 out chances in this game (sans Schwarber)

They were down 14-2 entering the seventh and won in extras.
