The runs that inning were scored on an IF hit, walk, 3 run double, walk, walk, 2 runs on wild pitch/error combo. All with 2 outs

 

For anyone who missed, what happened was all this nonsense here + one bases loaded 2 out full count low line drive double to clear the bases and tie up a 10-7 game. KB’s opposite field hit to start that rally was a big one but today was about Javy getting one of those big RBI hits we need to him producing if he’s going’s to hit in the middle of the lineup.

Not to mention the RBI groundout to get that 5th run. That was on a 2 strike protection swing. He brought it up in the postgame so hopefully he’s proud of that one and keeps it in mind as we move forward.

Biggest comeback since 8-25-89. I remember watching that game. What's so impressive about this game was that it was about 3 degrees with the wind blowing in at 70 MPH. That game in 89 the wind was howling out in 90 degree weather

 

I started watching this game in the 4th inning and I lost track of my remote and was too lazy to get off the couch and look for it. Sometimes being a lazy ass does pay off

i always go back to the 08 cubs vs the rockies as the epic cubs comeback that i missed

 

when i turned this one off i definitely thought something like "they're absolutely having one of those once in a decade comebacks today" but i admittedly probably think that every time i leave or turn off a blow out.

When I was looking at the one with Theo and Jed in it it looked at first like Theo was wearing a Pirates hat, when I zoomed in it looked like a Phillies P. Then I realized of course it has to be Pearl Jam.

so i was wearing my cubs shirt and MB hat at the pelicans game last night in eastern NC and most of these idiot rubes around here are Braves fans. Anyway, one of them (like me) clearly left and went to the game before it was over and said to me: "Cubs fan, huh? How'd that game turn out with the Braves today" lololol. He was obviously insinuating I was some bandwagon Cubs fan which makes me mad as hell. But,I simply said, "um, Cubs scored 9 in the bottom of the 8th and won 14-10" *showed him box score on my phone*

 

he did a heel turn and walked away and I smiled and laughed and laughed and laughed to myself
