Murphy RBI single, and the Nats trail the Cards by 1 in the top of the 9th. First and third and only 1 out. Bud Norris is very average.

And hurt.

Well that didn’t take long. Does Davie Boy survive into season 2?

Mike Rizzo gave away two relievers from his 25 man roster over nothing. And they wonder why their bullpen is a dumpster fire.

Could the Dodgers and Nats combine their best ~8 relief pitchers that are currently healthy and be better than league average?

Would be really cool if neither of those teams made the playoffs.

Yup. They still scare me the most in a playoff series, especially the Nats. If healthy.

The Nats aren’t making the playoffs. Might as well have them beat the gnats.

90 wins would mean going 30-13, a 113 win pace

88 wins would mean going 28-15, a 106 win pace

86 wins would mean going 26-17, a 98 win pace

While they do have 9 games against the Phillies left, they only have 3 against Atlanta. So unless they get really hot against everyone, they have to sweep Atlanta and go at least 6-3 against Philly and hope 86 wins takes the division. They needed 3 of 4 against Atlanta last week but could only get the split.

Is it time to be concerned with the Cardinals?

Still 5 games behind in the loss column and only 3 more H2H games between them and the Cubs (last 3 games of the year). Defenitely more concerned than I was a week ago though.

The cardinals are only catching the cubs if the cubs completely fall apart. And if we completely fall apart Milwaukee is passing us anyway.

The Dodgers have a -6 RD in their last 16 games and the Astros have a -6 RD in their last 19 games.

The Astros are only 1.5 games up on the A's and that could drop to 1 game if the A's hold on tonight.
