Long story short, Sherman decided to negotiate his contract by himself and did a woeful job. I literally LOL’d at this quote.

Sherman bragged to King about the amount of time he spent researching contracts.

“I spent maybe 10, 12 hours reading all these contracts and studying the contract language,” Sherman said.

I'm not sure I understand how NFL free agency works right now, don't remember a FA eve like this. Are all of these official? Why wouldn't they just start FA today if so? What a nonsense league and sport.

What? It's called the legal tampering time when teams can negotiate but but not officially sign. It used to happen "illegally" but there was never any good reason to punish people for it so they made it part of the process.

Of all the things to criticize the league, this is nothing.

As a Packer fan that watched Jordy suck in every way you can imagine last year, this makes immense amounts of sense. Jordy is probably toast. Now if they can grow a pair and ditch Cobb's nearly-as-bad contract, the Pack might be in business. There are other TEs that might make more sense to sign than Jimmy (since Rodgers doesn't really need a jump-ball-winning TE type) but I'm pumped.

Yeah I like the move, Jordy looked awful last year (especially without Rodgers and his perfect throws/chemistry they have). I think at worst Graham gives you what Jordy was with Rodgers last year as an outside possession, jump ball type and at best he takes it up a notch closer to his Saints days in a better offense with a better QB he had the last few years in Seattle.

you think agents didn't like this?

True but I feel like budging on everything the teams want is how we got this mess of a sport in the first place.

I don't like the Carlos Hyde move for the Browns. Barkley just seemed like a perfect complement to Duke Johnson in the backfield. Hyde got paid too much for Cleveland to draft Barkley.

What the hell is Arizona doing? They picked up Sam Bradford and Mike Glennon. I don't know who was worse last year, but Arizona plans to find out.

I mean, Bradford is nothing special, but he was more hurt last year than bad. He was actually really good in the one full game he played week 1 MNF.

How many times has this story been told?

Makes you wonder what exactly Cleveland plans to do with those two picks

seems to me like they'll just go Chubb and a QB

So despite this flurry of QB signings, pretty much every team we thought would draft a QB in the 1st round is probably still drafting a QB in the first round, right? Cleveland, Buffalo, NY Jets, etc. all signed stop-gaps
