Someone twitter suggested that the best way for this to be a success is to start with small venues...maybe make it an arena league. I tend to agree.

Make it a league for players that don't want to go to college and pretend to be a student but instead want to get paid something like $50k a season to play football in the hopes of later playing in the NFL.

If/when Chicago and a NY team becomes relevant again and Dallas, Green Bay, San Fran, and/or Denver is playoff caliber, there will be a bounce in popularity. You can't have so many top markets be garbage teams plus alienate multiple markets with teams either moving or pre-moving, and not see a downtick in national interest.

Something like this is interesting as a thing that could work, especially because the NCAA sucks but I think the minor league football concept only ultimately works because of the tradition engraned into college football
