That was a very fun last few minutes of the quarter. bulls really took it to them. Of course the Dubs switched to another gear and are now pulling away but that’s ok. I love that the Bulls punched the Warriors in the mouth and made them make adjustments at halftime. Obviously they aren’t talented enough to go toe to toe with GS but at least they are a team that isn’t going to let you come to town and coast to a win either

Mirotic having another good game. There have to be some scouts at this game who took notice of that performance. Hopefully, some more teams are intrigued and we can start a bidding war for him (maybe include Lopez in that trade).

 

His veto powers on any trade are gone if the Bulls pickup his 2nd year option. I think Utah makes the most sense right now.

You know it's funny they say that about Kyrie when he plays PG, but still has that scoring mentality. I think S. Curry threads the line between facilitating an offense and trying to score in the NBA perfectly.

 

Kyrie is a great player though. I don't even know what "best pure scorer" is or how you define that lol.

Dang, that sucks. That fall did look pretty nasty. Weird thing is Curry and Thompson didn't even notice and kept playing.

I had the same thought, but honestly Dunn playing well and getting playing time is more important than tanking. He might miss a lot of time with this injury.

 

Getting playing time for our young players (LM, LaVine and Dunn) and trading vets should allow the Bulls to do both goals: tank and foster player development.

Until Mirotic and Lopez go, they'll keep beating up on the bottom of the NBA. The sad part about the last few weeks is Mirotic, Lopez, and Holiday have been key parts of a ton of wins. 3 guys that probably won't be on your roster when the team should matter.

I was checking rookie stats to see how Markkanen was stacking up, and found a weird (to me) stat: Ben Simmons has ZERO three-pointers this year. As a point guard. He also only shoots 55.6% free-throws. Not prototypical stats for his position

Yeah, Ben Simmons isn't a great shooter. Lebron wasn't a great shooter either when he entered the NBA. Simmons might become an average shooter in time; he's great at every other part of the game.

 

Absolutely amazing passer for someone his size and has good handles too.

A really confusing guy. I don't follow the NBA much, but it's weird to see a 6'10" PG who doesn't shoot 3's or FT's.

Well, most players 6'10" play PF and/or SF so it's just weird seeing someone so tall initiating the offense while playing PG. Simmons honestly could play 4 positions (PG, SF, PF and C) with SG being the exception because he can't shoot lol.

 

M. Fultz was suppose to be the perfect complement to Simmons, but his shot is even worse and he can't even make shots in practice now.

I kind of get your point, but he really needs to learn to shoot more 3s than he does now, at least if he is going to reach that superstar potential. I mean imo guess he's establishing a pretty good floor without having any 3 game, but it's not gonna win them a championship.
