It really pains me to say this, but Bagley lll is an insane talent. With where is right now, its hard enough to imagine what he'll look like at the end of the season. Much less, going forward from there.

I just can't get over the stupidity of trading that pick. If the best team in the league with a stacked roster sees someone worth rostering at that pick how can the pile of horsefeathers known as the Bulls not see the same? And then to get openly trolled and embarrassed by that team and player. I'm sure they were super excited to tell Jerry that they saved him some money.

If GarPax’s excuse of nobody they liked being available was true, why wouldn’t you trade it for a future pick at least? I believe that pick was the Deng pick we hoped would be a 1st for years. So basically we traded Deng for cash (which ironically enough is how we got him)

Dunn looked great tonight. 10 of 15, 24 and 8 assists, after going 0 for 6 last game lol. I wonder if we'll even know what we've got with him at the end of the season.

Well, the good thing about a bad team facing another bad team on Tuesday night is that floor seats were like $150 a piece which was nice. Went to my second Bulls game last night, sat right behind the Bulls bench.

Any good stories of player interaction?

I saw this on reddit from last night:

Nice tank W tonight. Markkanen goes 20 and 9, Dunn goes 19-5-5.
OTOH that's 6 straight games of Lauri shooting no better than 41% on 14 FGA/G

Hope he finds his stroke again

I haven't watched a ton but when I do it looks like they are mostly using him as a spot up shooter. They need to make him and Dunn the focal point of the offense rather than watching Holiday jack up 25 shots per game. Yes tanking blah blah blah, but I don't want to finish 10-72, I don't think its good for the culture of the team and the perception to FAs for a potential quicker rebuild. You suck too badly for too long and you are now a big market version of the Kings.

Didn't really affect the Sixers all that much when they were finishing with records like that and then landing Embiid and Simmons.

Yes, if they land talents like Embiid and Simmons. They are the exception and benefited from lotto luck and other luck (Embiid dropping because of injury). They have made 17 draft picks in 4 years, 7 in the 1st round and 4 in the top 3. The Bulls currently don't have any 1st round picks other than their own (I think) and I'm not sure I trust GarPax to make those types of moves to get into position to make that many picks.

I'm not saying that being that bad dooms them, but we've seen more than a few teams strip it down and start over only to spend years developing a winning culture around the talent they pick up in the draft.

Lauri is 20. I've seen enough at this point to see he's a damn good building block. Definitely a POTENTIAL All Star. He's going to have some struggles and part of it'll be great for him. He's already seeing teams key on him. The fact we're bad is going to indirectly help him in that regard anyway.

I figure LaVine coming back will help win them a few more games. I'm not worried about win/loss records this season. Other than putting us in the absolute best position to capitalize on the draft.

And I don't trust GarPax to handle the rebuild. But, I do think they'll find ways to add assets, in some way. Whether its trading Lopez and/or absorbing a bad contract or two.

Actually more than OK with an actual W this evening. Lauri goes 24 and 12, Dunn didn't shoot well, but still went for 20-6-12.
