Here's the thing. Wade was warming up during this game. If his arm was about to fall off.....he wouldn't have been up at all. Secondly, he pitched 3 days ago and has a day off tomorrow.

 

And you're rolling the dice with a guy that has little relief experience and literally had never pitched on back-to-back days in his life, in a RISP situation.

 

Even if Davis just gets 1 batter (Taylor), you throw him there then start the 10th with Lackey.

I get it, but those guys do still give up runs. Even considering the opposition, the offense has been sub-par.

again, no pitching is that good

 

we're facing great pitchers who are executing but we're probably between 2 and 3 standard deviations below where you'd expect this offense to be at. we're in almost worst case scenario territory.
