Watching playoff baseball post World Series win has a weird vibe. Like, I'm nervous but this doesn't feel as important as before.

Yep. I had sex during the 7/8 inning. She said, "don't you want to wait until after the game?" I said, "it won't take long (*along with some joke about it never does*) and they have the lead, only thing that could happen would be something to disturb me anyway" I came back downstairs to see CEJ mow them down and Davis crush their souls. Then I could relax and enjoy the victory and fall asleep on the couch by myself.

I can't believe how relaxed I was all day yesterday even in the middle innings when we were still doing nothing. I was worried postseason baseball would never be the same for me. But then I was going nuts when we started scoring. I like this new emotional approach to postseason baseball.

Yeah, with Kyle doing his thing I never got more than barely mildly annoyed; it just had mostly a sense of inevitability that the Cubs were going to breakthrough, if even just because Dusty would eventually blink first (which didn't even have to happen).

guys the point is that i never would have done that last year but the pressure is off this year. both the cubs and for me so performance is going to be OFF THE CHARTS for us
