Please don't get into a beanball war. It can only hurt us. Make eliminating the Cardinals from the playoffs your response.

I'm totally ok with any violence incited by lackey as long as it takes him out of the NLDS

Was the Pham HBP last night obviously on purpose, or debatable? I never actually saw it.

It was a first pich fastball that hit him in the ribs, but there's no reason outside of Pham's addled brain for anyone to think they were trying to hit him. It was in a game the Cubs/Maddon were clearly going all out to win, and getting offended at Pham's reply to Zobrist requires a line of thought that doesn't make any sense.

We were down 3 in the 6th. I didn't see it either but it better have been really horsefeathering obvious for that clown show to think we'd hit anyone intentionally in such a situation.

I mean, it wouldn't surprise me too much if they intentionally hit Pham last night, but Felix Pena just being shitty at pitching seems much, much more likely. Edited by Sammy Sofa

Yeah, the important thing here is that believing it intentional requires trusting Tommy Pham's reasoned outlook, and he was so on tilt after the HBP he got picked off by 5 feet.

Man, I didn't know Wacha could even hit 99. horsefeathers this team with a little brother complex.

i saw that earlier in the year against the cubs and i was confused. where does he usually sit?

Average 94.9 on his 4 seam

Here comes Lackey's predictable stank inning. He'll give up "only" 2-3 runs and the game will just muddle on without the Cubs scoring even though he doesn't give up anything else because he seemingly poisons everything with his evil.

Well worst case scenario if we were to lose at least we don't have to worry about the backdoor clinch as the reds are throwing Homer Bailey tonight.

yep Randal's career may be over if he can't even kill the Cubs anymore Edited by Brian

That's not how a Lackey start works. There is a reason the Cubs winning % when Lackey starts is the highest of any starter. The Cubs somehow score for this horsefeathers face

He had a game like this in Wrigley earlier this year where he came out throwing gas then we eventually got to him, Happ hit a homer I know.

That or being our worst starter he often faces the other teams worst starter

How often do you think that happens?
